It is not enough to simply seal the luminaire as hermetically as possible to protect the electrical components from moisture and dirt. Especially outdoors, pressure builds up in the sealed housing due to changing temperatures and environmental influences. On the one hand, this leads to the formation of condensation and, on the other hand, damages the seal so that moisture and impurities can penetrate.
Our pressure equalisation valve with patented filter technology, specially developed by SONLUX, enables rapid pressure equalisation due to its high air flow, especially with large-volume luminaires, thus preventing the formation of condensation water inside and the resulting damage to electrical components and failure of the unit.
